Background:

My name is Alfredo Araujo. I have lived in the valley for over 10 years and have a passion to serve this community. I believe that we as human beings have parts of our lives that are impacted by physical, emotional, spiritual, and social influences. My goal as a Marriage and Family Therapist is to help individuals, families, and couples find healthy balance in their lives through emotional connection and value-oriented living, considering the influences previously mentioned. I work from a philosophical foundation of emotions, values, and evidence therapeutic models. I see my role as a therapist as a collaborative facilitator of change with whoever I work with. I value and respect client’s autonomy, therefore I seek to join with clients to acknowledge their wisdom of their situation, and together find ways for clients to live happier and more fulfilling lives. I look forward to working with you!

Education and Work Experience:

Received my bachelor’s in psychology with minors is sociology and mental health awareness and advocacy from Utah State University. I would then go on and do my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at Utah State with emphasis on Latinx Minorities. I have received training in Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
