Allison Miller,

Background:
Allison Was born and raised in Orem, UT. She ventured to warmer weather for a few years, then returned to her hometown to pursue her education, as a single mother of two. Recently, she remarried, moved to Genola, and is enjoying the peace and quiet of the small town with her family. She is a converted dog lover, enjoys playing board games, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
Education and Work Experience:
Allison earned her bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in family studies from Utah Valley University. She continued her education at the University of Utah, where she completed her master’s degree in Social Work, with a clinical focus in mental health. She has completed training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and is currently working on Gottman Method Training. She has work experience in school settings, residential treatment, and outpatient services.
Therapy Approach:
Allison believes the therapeutic relationship to be extremely valuable in the client’s growth and strives to work in a collaborative way with her clients. She draws from an attachment theory perspective, is trauma-informed and client-centered. Her passion is helping others find their inner strength to get through their dark moments in life. She uses an integrative therapeutic approach rooted in her client’s needs. She utilizes a mix of evidence-based modalities such as CBT, EMDR, Mindfulness, IFS, and Somatic Experience.
