Brandon Morgan,
Psychiatric NP
Background:
Brandon is from the town of Nephi and is grateful to have the opportunity to serve those in the community he grew up in as well as the surrounding rural areas. He is passionate about providing quality patient centered and evidence-based health care to individuals suffering from mental health disorders. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and three children as well as coaching for local youth athletic programs.
Education and Work Experience:
Brandon began his health care career in 2016 working as a certified nursing assistant and medication technician in a memory care facility. Shortly after, he received his Bachelor of Nursing degree from Roseman University. He worked as an intensive care registered nurse during the height of the COVID pandemic providing lifesaving treatment to critically ill patients alongside other healthcare professionals. He also received training in several specialty areas of care including cardiology, neurology, and trauma. However, his passion for mental health lead him to pursue his career as a psychiatric nurse. He spent several years working at Wasatch Behavioral Health’s crisis receiving center and crisis residential support. During this time, he worked in collaboration with doctors, therapists, and other mental healthcare professionals to provide essential support, services, and health care to individuals with suicidal thoughts as well as other crisis mental health issues. He was also responsible for managing and providing health care to patients suffering from severe mental illness. He recently graduated summa cum laude from Wilkes University and became a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. His educational experience involved diagnosing and treating mental health disorders across the lifespan. During his schooling, he was able to work alongside several experienced providers in various clinical backgrounds including inpatient, outpatient, and substance abuse treatment centers.
Therapy Approach:
Brandon takes a conservative, patient-centered, and evidence-based approach to medication management. His goal is to develop a therapeutic relationship with his patients in order to instill hope and promote resilience as well as overall health and well-being. He is passionate about delivering quality mental health care by providing thorough and holistic treatment for his patients.
