Brandon Woods,
MSW Student
Background:
Brandon grew up all over Northern Ut, but spent a majority of his childhood in Tooele. He moved to Cedar City to pursue his education and along the way met his wife, Summer. Brandon has always had a love for animals which landed him with two wildly energetic dogs. Despite that he still finds time for his hobbies including playing video games, watching movies, drawing, and exploring the supernatural. Most of all Brandon enjoys spending time with his loved ones.
Education and Work Experience:
Brandon earned his bachelor's degree in social work from Southern Utah University and is pursuing his Master's of Social Work through the University of Kentucky. He stepped into medical social work during his undergrad internship at a skilled nursing facility where he gained an appreciation for end of life care. Brandon also spent the last 4 years working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Here he offered crisis intervention, support, and advocacy.
Therapy Approach:
Brandon believes people connect best when a relationship holds authenticity, compassion, and acceptance. His goal is to bring the same approach into therapy. Brandon understands that people often struggle to integrate these practices within themselves. He wants to meet people where they are and suport them in strengthening these abilities, both personally and with others. Above all, Brandon aims to create a space where people feel seen, heard, and supported as they navigate their own journey toward healing and connection.
