Brennon Hutchings,
CSW

Background:

Brennon was born and raised in the small town of Beaver, Utah, where he developed a deep appreciation for hard work, tight-knit commujnities, and the importance of showing up for people. He grew up surrounded by the values of resilience and service, which became central to his identity. A lifelong athlete, Brennon played five years of college football at Southern Utah University. His experiences in athletics taught him the power of grit, structure, and emotional resilience - qualities that now influence his approach as a therapist.

Brennon earned his bachelor's degree in Psychology and Family Life & Human Development from Southern Utah University. He completed his Master of Social Work at Brigham Young University, wehre he also worked as a therapist for business students navigating high pressure, perfectionism, and career-related stress. He has provided therapy in a wide range of settings including domestic violence shelters, behavioral hospitals, and university counseling centers.

Now back home in southern Utah, Brennon is excited to serve the people and communities that shaped him. When he's not in session, you'll find him catching a great movie, traveling to new places, or out on the golf course.

Therapy Approach:

Brennon believes therapy should feel both grounding and empowering. His approach is compassionate, client-centered, and focused on building a collaborative space where individuals can explore their values, challenge unhelpful narratives, and reconnect with their sense of purpose. Drawing on a range of evidence-based appraches - including CBT, ACT, and Narrative Therapy - Brennon tailors his work to meet clients where they are.

He is particularly passionate about working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, perfectionism, OCD, stress, and relationship challenges. Whether working with teens, college students, or adults, Brennon helps clients shift from outcome-based expectations to process-driven growth. His goal is to support clients in building resilience, developing healthier patterns, and becoming more aligned with who they truly want to be.
