Cade Jenkins,
MFT Intern

Background:

Cade grew up in a few different places but proudly considers North Ogden home. His family is the greatest joy of his life, and he and his wife are the proud parents of two children, a daughter and a son. In his free time, Cade enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, playing a variety of sports, and getting together with his lifelong friends to play games or watch scary movies. He looks forward to football season every year and is an avid fan of the Utah State Aggies and Dallas Cowboys.

Education and Work Experience:

Cade graduated from Weber State University with a B.S in Psychology and is now pursuing his Masters of Marriage and Family Therapy from Utah State University. During his program, he has completed Level 1 training in Gottman Couples Therapy along with the Basic ART Training. Before starting his masters program, he worked as a physical therapy aide for 5 years. During that time, he worked closely with individuals recovering from injury, surgery, and chronic pain which strengthened his ability to build trusting relationships, communicate with empathy, and support clients through difficult and often low periods of their lives.

Therapy Approach:

Cade loves helping individuals and couples find greater meaning and hope in their lives through strengthening their relationships and living in line with the sort of person they want to be. He believes that it is within and from our relationships that life is given the greatest meaning. He strives to help clients navigate the inevitable pains of life through helping them break the patterns that keep them trapped and to act guided by their values. His therapeutic approach is defined by compassion, humor, and authenticity.
