Carlton Baxter,

Background:
Carlton was raised in the American Fork, UT area. He is the second oldest of five children. When not working in a therapy office or on school work, he enjoys watching movies, reading books, and playing games. He enjoys getting into deep conversations with others and continually learning something new.
Education and Work Experience:
Carlton obtained his B.S. in Psychology at Utah Valley University. Carlton obtained both his Psychology bachelor's degree and Clinical mental Health Counseling master's degree through Utah Valley University. Carlton has worked with special needs individuals and teenagers in day treatment and residential settings.
Therapy Approach:
Carlton is learning to follow an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) approach. He strives to use compassion, listening, and empathy to create relationships of trust with his clients. Carlton works collaboratively with his clients to create and move toward goals that align with the individual’s feelings, values, and beliefs.
