Hannah Covill,
MFT Intern

Background:

Hannah grew up in Cache Valley and finds the community and traditions that Logan offers exciting. After spending some time living abroad in Argentina, she developed a deep appreciation for building meaningful relationships with people from diverse backgrounds. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and is enthralled by continual learning and personal growth. Hannah thrives when having meaningful conversations and connection in her relationships. In her free time, she enjoys being with her husband, reading, caring for her many houseplants, camping, playing tennis, and spending time in nature.

Education and Work Experience:

Hannah is currently pursuing her M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy at Utah State University and will graduate in May 2027. She earned her B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies with an emphasis in Family and Community Services and Family Therapy Clinic, she worked with a diverse range of cases while developing foundational therapeutic skills and a strong understanding of ethical practice. She has also completed Level 1 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. In addition to her clinical work, Hannah is actively involved in research focused on couple dynamics, attachment behaviors, and trauma contributing to published work in the field.

Therapy Approach:

Hannah enjoys working with individuals, couples, and families to resolve conflict and build stronger, more meaningful connections. She believes that humans are inherently wired for connection and that relationships give life its deepest meaning, while acknowledging their potential to be both healing and challenging. Her approach focuses on helping clients recognize and utilize their existing strengths to create lasting change and build a fulfilling life. She strives to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel understood and valued, especially when such spaces may be limited elsewhere. Hannah brings warmth, humor, and hope into the therapeutic process, and her work honors both the challenges and the potential for growth within close relationships.
