Background:
Kyle moved to Utah as a teenager and now calls it home. Outside of work, he loves staying active throughactivities like golf, hiking, exercising, pickleball, and anything that involves semi-coordinated movement. He also loves reading, watching movies, bingeing TV shows, playing games, and indulging his wide-range of "nerdy" interests such as escape rooms and random trivia facts. He describes himself as either the most active lazy person or the most lazy active person. Kyle enjoys traveling and has been lucky to see some wonderful places near and far. Above everything, he values quality time with family and friends.
Education and Work Experience:
Kyle got an undergrad in Psychology from Utah Valley University and a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. He has worked in private practices and public mental health spanning clientele that were dealing with ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, Suicidality, Sexual Abuse, Trauma, Traumatic Brain Injuries, Bipolar, Borderline Personality Disorder, Homelessness, Substance Use, and Grief.
Therapy Approach:
Kyle's foundational approach is client-centered therapy with elements of CBT, EFT, and ACT. His therapeutic approach, centered on empathy and unconditional positive regard, aims to create a safe space for anyone to gain further insight into who they are and therefore how they can heal and progress. He strives to build genuine connections with individuals from diverse backgrounds. By valuing each person's unique experiences, he creates an environment where exploration and self-discovery flourish. His goal is to empower clients, providing support and guidance as they navigate their mental health journey. Everyone is not only welcome but celebrated for the richness they bring to the therapeutic process.
