Background:
Maddy was born and raised in Logan, Utah. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, being around dogs, spending time outdoors, and watching TV.
Education and Work Experience:
Maddy earned both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Psychology from Utah State University. She is currently a fourth-year Ph.D. student in the Combined Clinical/Counseling Psychology program at Utah State University, where she receives training in evidence-based psychotherapy and psychological assessment. Her clinical experience includes working with children, adolescents, and adults presenting with a range of concerns, including anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, depression, and somatic symptom disorders. She has also supported clients navigating identity development, spiritual and religious concerns, interpersonal difficulties, and relationship distress. Maddy has completed Level 1 of Gottman Couples Therapy training.

Maddy is trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Interpersonal Process Therapy, and Gottman Couples Therapy. Maddy integrates evidence-based interventions within a client-focused humanistic framework.
