Background:

I am from Utah and grew up mainly in Lehi. I enjoy spending time outdoors and appreciating nature's beauty, which helps me feel grounded and present. My relationships with others give me a strong sense of purpose, and I value nurturing meaningful connections. Music is an important part of my life, and I enjoy singing in my spare time as another way to express myself creatively. I am passionate about listening to people's life stories and gaining a deeper understanding of how their experiences shape who they are. These perspectives continue to help me develop a more compassionate and well-rounded view of others and the world around me.

Education and Work Experience:

I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Music, and my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, both from Utah Valley University. I have worked with individuals on the autism spectrum, and that experience has been especially meaningful to me. I have also co-facilitated group therapy at Steps Recovery, where I saw firsthand the value of shared experiences and support. These opportunities have shaped my passion for the field, which I plan to continue pursuing in my future.

Therapy Approach:

I believe the heart of therapy is creating a space for connection, safety, and self-awareness. As a growing counselor, my intention is to work closely with each individual using personalized therapeutic approaches that reflect their unique needs and experiences. I strive to foster an environment where clients feel seen, heard, and supported as we explore the complexities of their world. Through this collaborative process, we can uncover patterns, gain deeper insight, and build the skills to navigate life's challenges. I am grounded in person-centered approaches that center around empathy, trust, and vulnerability. I am committed to creating a compassionate space that supports healing, growth, clarity, and resilience. I also strive to remain adaptable and grounded in evidence-based practices, always centering what is most meaningful and effective for each person I work with.
