Background:
Nate, a native of northern Utah, has spent much of his life in the region, although his journey has also taken him to diverse places such as Louisiana, Illinois, Ohio, and Argentina. When he's not working, Nate values spenidng time with his wife and three childre, where there's always something eventful happening. He's passionate about traveling, camping, and exploring the outdoors, and enjoys experimenting with new recipes and playing the guitar in his spare time.
Education and Work Experience:
Nate has spent the past 19 years working in the mental health field, with experience across a variety of settings, including residential treatment, employment counseling, comunity mental health, private practice, and university counseling centers. He has worked with individuals in Louisiana, Illinois, and Ohio, offering counseling and mental health services in diverse communities. Nate has particularly enjoyed receiving specialized training in the treatment of severe personality disorders through the use of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), providing marriage and couples therapy, and offering both individual and group therapy to individuals struggling with addiction through a community drug court program. Throughout the majority of his career, Nate has specialized in private practice, where he has enjoyed providing psychotherapy and conducting psychological and psycheducational testing for clients of all ages.

Nate believes that meaningful therapeutic change is founded on a strong, trusting relationship, and he prioritizes helping clients feel valued, heard, and deeply understood. His therapeutic approach is integrative, grounded in experiential methods that encourage clients to connect with their inner experiences. Nate draws from emotion-focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, Ericksonian hypnotherapy, and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to tailor treatment to each client's unique needs.
