Payson

With a population of around 20,000 residents, Payson is a community that embraces the beauty of nature and the nostalgia of small-town life. The town's surroundings offer an array of outdoor activities, from hiking and fishing to camping and picnicking, thanks to the close proximity of the Nebo Loop Scenic Byway and the Payson Canyon. Payson takes pride in its historical heritage, evident in sites like the Peteetneet Museum and Cultural Arts Center, which houses art exhibits and showcases the town's rich history. The annual Salmon Supper, celebrating a tradition dating back to the 1950s, is a cherished event, bringing the community together in a spirit of camaraderie. However, beneath the surface of its idyllic exterior, Payson, like many small communities, faces unaddressed mental health needs that often go unnoticed. Many of our therapists live right in Payson and have a passion for helping their neighbors and community.
