Amanda Rager,
CMHC Student
Background:
Amanda is a clinical mental health student who was born and raised in Virginia but spent many of her formative years in North Carolina. She relocated to Utah four years ago and currently lives in Payson with her husband of fifteen years and their two children. Amanda has found a passion for connection through vulnerability and authenticity. She has a heart for people and their stories. Amanda loves to write in her spare time and is an avid reader. She enjoys life-giving activities such as spending time in nature with her family or unwinding with her book club. She also has a deep appreciation for plants and cultivating growth.
Education and Work Experience:
Amanda graduated with a B.S. in Psychology and is completing her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands.
Therapy Approach:
Amanda leads with empathy and connection in her approach with clients. She sees the collaborative therapeutic relationship as a priority. Amanda believes that every individual has the capability of reaching within themselves for healing and a greater understanding of who they are. She sees her position as one of assisting to make the path clearer, so that the client may find their own journey to wellness and abundant living.
