Background:

Audrey Jackson is a student Marriage and Family Therapist who was born and raised in Arizona. She misses her hometown but she loves living by the mountains in Utah. She is the second of six siblings and is very close with all of them. She is happily married to her husband Austin and can’t wait to start a family someday. Audrey is passionate about creating interpersonal relationships that promote healing, growth, and joy. She greatly enjoys weight lifting and pushing her body to its limits. She also enjoys painting and spending time with her friends and family.

Education and Work Experience:

Audrey received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Brigham Young University. She is currently working towards a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Utah Valley University. She has worked with youth in mentorship positions as a tutor and as a  staff at treatment centers. These positions included teaching skills to help the youth reach their therapeutic goals. She is currently working at the Utah Valley University Community Health Clinic as a student therapist in order to serve the community.

Therapy Approach:

Through her experiences in treatment settings and the UVU Community Mental Health Clinic, Audrey has gained a  firm belief in the power of therapeutic relationships to help individuals, couples, and families move towards their ultimate potential. Her goal as a therapist is to create a safe place for clients to share their thoughts and experiences without judgment. She also seeks to build trust in order to create an environment where all questions and emotions are welcome. She approaches therapy from the belief that experiences have shaped who clients are and who they want to become as an individual, couple, or family. Audrey holds space for all those experiences and treats them with respect. Audrey is currently being trained in Narrative therapy, Emotions Focused therapy, Collaborative therapy, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Solution Focused therapy, and Internal Family Systems therapy.
