Davis Kane,

Background:

Davis was born and raised in Hawai'i, on the island of O'ahu. He and his partner are the parents of two children. Outside of his professional roles, he enjoys exploring nature, cooking, powerlifting, and singing his favorite tunes during his commutes to and from the office.

Education and Work Experience:

Davis received his doctoral degree in counseling psychology from Brigham Young University and completed a pre-doctoral internship at the University of Hawaii – Mānoa. He is a member of several professional organizations including the LGBTQ+-Affirmative Therapist Guild of Utah.

Therapy Approach:

Davis’ work is guided by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Compassion-Focused Therapy. Davis works collaboratively with his clients in helping them to deal with difficult internal and interpersonal experiences in workable ways and living a life that is guided by core values and beliefs. Davis also strives to create a therapeutic space that is safe, empathic, affirming, and compassionate.
