Background:

Julie grew up in Spanish Fork, Utah. She continues to live in southern Utah County and enjoys waking up to the animals in her small farm outside of town. She is married, has 8 children in a blended family, and she also has 15 adorable grandchildren. You can find her spending time with family, boating, surfing, and being outdoors.

Education and Work Experience:

Julie graduated with a bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University in secondary education, dance, and special education. She later obtained a master's degree in counseling from the University of Phoenix. She recently finished a doctoral degree in psychology from California Southern University. She has over 30 years of experience in counseling and therapy.

Therapy Approach:

Julie uses several different approaches in therapy with a strong emphasis on the client/therapist relationship and ensuring the client's comfort/safety. She utilizes various evidence-based models including CBT, EMDR, and empirically driven forms of Play Therapy.
